Pavani, I got a surprisingly small chunk from 1/2 a gallon of milk. So I marinated them in tandoori spices, made a simple desi style tomato gravy and topped it on pizza :)
Sudha, I bought the potted herb from the local organic store and moved it to a bigger planter at home.
One experiment that I'm doing now is, I soaked the thicker stems from a bunch of store bought mint in water to help them grow roots. But when I moved them to the pot they don't seem to be doing good. Not sure if it was the colder temps last week or if they cannot be grown that way. The plants from the store thrive really well though.
Arathi, I think the grain/texture on the surface comes from the cloth used to hold the cheese curds, in this case a cotton fabric. Traditional cheesecloth would have given the paneer a mesh like exterior.
Interesting I never thought of making Flavored panner. Will definetly try it. http://veggidelight.blogspot.com/ http://www.dateleaf.com/chatpad/smitha.html
Your comments really make my day, so go ahead and fill up this space. I will try and respond to all of them, but if I don't... feel free to come back and remind me ;)
Happy Cooking, Priya
